Suspension - R & D Infrastructure

The Endurance R&D facility is certified by the Department of Science & Industrial Research (DSIR) of the Govt. of India. It focuses on offering the complete suspension solution to our customers.

Scope

Endurance has a dedicated R&D team to provide the complete suspension solution. The current provision of suspensions is for two wheelers, three wheelers.

Torture Test Track

Our product validation extends to the Torture Test Tracks located in the R&D premises. The testing on our tracks is conducted with stringent riding conditions which duplicates the real time landscapes & riding conditions. Our test track consists of various kinds of tracks to ensure the intended on road performance.

Scope

Shock Absorbers, Struts and Gas Springs for 4 Wheeler automobile applications.
Design and development capabilities for 4-Wheelers Shock Absorber & Struts, ranging from Passenger Cars to Commercial Vehicles.
A JV with Magneti Marelli, Italy.

R&D Facilities

Servo Hydraulic Testing System for the measurement of damping performance. This machine can also test the shock absorber durability under Bi-Frequency mode or any other programmed inputs. (Speed up to 4m/sec)
Mechanical Test Rig for reliability testing of Shock Absorbers.
Gas Spring Simulation Test Rig for the testing of Gas Springs in actual door mounted condition.
Gas Spring Performance Measurement Rig.
Constant Temperature Bath for establishing various temperature characteristics of damper. (From -40°C to 80°C)

Design Facilities

Our Design capabilities include Modelling, Design Data Management, Finite Element Analysis, Drafting, etc.
The Designing Softwares utilized are Pro-E-Wild Fire, Solid Edge, and Auto CAD.

Special metal clad single lip seals, capable of working under gas pressure are used
Specially formulated oil used for wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C
Teflon bonded Piston used for smooth operation and higher wear resistance
Hardened, Chrome plated & Polished piston rods for heavy duty applications
Controlled bore sizes of cylinder tubes for consistent damping performance
100% performance tested using Servo - hydraulic testing machine
Surface coating using special Autophoretic painting process for higher corrosion resistance life of 480 hours in salt spray life.
